An unreliable battery connection may cause a stall which may increase the risk of a crash.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2021 ID4 vehicles. Incorrect soldering of the flexible printed circuit assembled (FPCA), inside the high voltage (HV) battery, may cause an unreliable connection.
The remedy is still under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 13, 2022. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen’s number for this recall is 9302.
