Attorney Ronald Burdge has stated to NBC4 News “that sometimes, smaller dealerships that sell used cars can sell a car so quickly after purchasing it, there could be a delay in getting the title” in response to a Columbus woman’s recent issues involving her car purchase.
Nina Casey bought a 2004 Honda CR-V in April 2021. Casey cannot drive her car because she is unable to get the main title. She called the dealership on several occasions to no avail.
Casey finally filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General’s office. Since June 2020, 49 complaints have been filed against the particular dealership, more than half of which were for failure to deliver the title after purchase.
