Ford first became aware of 2003 model year’s overheating
switch or burning switch problem in October 2006. Some
2002 model year Fords had already been recalled for the same
dangerous speed control switch. The recalled 2003 Ford vehicles
are not always built with the VIN number being in sequence,
so the entire model year itself is suspect. To find out if
your Ford truck or Ford SUV is part of the recall, you can
call Ford (1-800-392-3673) or call your local Ford dealer.
