On some of the 2 door coupes the switch console for the
Active Suspension Management and the traction congtrol
switch were “inappropriately” installed, according
to federal safety investigators. That can lead to signals
that the two systems are changing when they may not be
at all. Confused? Well, we figure you have to own a Porsche
to figure this one out. All we know is that it’s
a safety recall and that’s enough for us.
Bottom line is that wrong signals to the driver can cause
the driver to flip the switches when they should not be,
disabling a system when it should not be. The safety benefits
of the two computer systems may not be available if you
need them and that can increase the chances of a crash.
