Polaris Recalls 28,000 Snowmobiles
for Fire Danger

Thousands of snowmobiles built by Polaris Industries between
2004 and 2007 are being recalled for dangerous fuel leak fire
risks. Turns out that the fuel tank filler neck can crack and
separate. If it happens, fuel or fuel vapors can leak out of
the fuel tank and cause a fire.
Ohio’s Lemon Law covers snowmobiles so if you’ve
got one of the lemon ones, you may be entitled to a free replacement.

 The recalled snowmobiles were sold by Polaris dealers nationally
between July 2003 and October 2007 for prices ranging from
$4,100 and $11,600, more or less. Federal safety officials
are warning consumers to stop using the recalled snowmobiles
immediately until the fire danger problem is fixed in the recall.
